MANILA, (PNA) — There will be a slight delay in the release of the investigation of the National Bureau of Investigation in connection with the alleged P10-billion pork barrel fund scam involving some lawmakers.
According to Justice Secretary M. Leila De Lima, this was due to the resignation of NBI Director Nonnatus Caesar R. Rojas.
De Lima said the NBI group, which is focusing on the investigation of the pork barrel scam, was also experiencing “demoralization” following the resignation of Rojas.
However, De Lima said, they had talked to the leader of the group and told them to “move on” and finish the job.
Despite the demoralization, De Lima said, the NBI is also properly evaluating the documents they are gathering.
Aside from organizing the documents, De Lima said, the NBI also gave assurances the sworn statements being submitted to them are supporting the complaint they will file before the Office of the Ombudsman.
