MANILA, (PNA) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday announced that it is now planning security measures for the court appearances of P10-billion pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles who is now detained in Fort Sto. Domingo, Sto. Rosa, Laguna.
PNP chief Director General Alan Purisima said they are studying various plans to shuttle Napoles between Laguna and Makati.
But he added they see no problem with Napoles in terms of security at her new detention facility in Laguna.
The PNP before dawn Sunday transferred Napoles to Fort Sto. Domingo from the Makati City Jail, two days after the Makati court approved it.
Napoles surrendered to President Benigno Aquino III last Wednesday, hours after Aquino announced a P10-million reward offer for information leading to her arrest.
Her brother Reynald Lim, who a Makati court ordered arrested along with her for serious illegal detention, remains at large.
Meanwhile, PNP Special Action Force head Chief Supt. Carmelo Valmoria said only Napoles’ immediate family and lawyer can visit her in Laguna.
