MANILA, Aug. 29(PNA) —- The Milo Little Olympics’26th season will continue to conduct its nationwide junior nationwide junior inter-school sports competition, offering a variety of sports events, including athletics,badminton, chess, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo,volleyball, sipa or sepak takraw, scrabble, and most recently basketball, to student-athletes from public and private schools
This time, the joust will be for the National Capital Region (NCR) scheduled on Aug. 30 to 31 and on Sept. 1 and 7 in the afternoon at the sprawling Marikina Sports Park in Marikina City where 30,000 people watched the youth games last year.
“We hope this will Milo tournament for kids will contribute tremendously to the discovery and progress of local talent by helping the youth gain confidence, practice teamwork and imbibe values that stay with them for life.
It should be the breeding grounds for future sports champions,” said executive Andrew Neri.
Neri added that with the support of the Department of Education, the Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee, the 26th season of the MILO Little Olympics will develop display of discipline, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among the young school children whom Philippine sports is developing for international competitions that may culminate to the Olympics.
