Philippine Ibaraki Basketball Tournament Ilulunsad

Inilunsad kamakailan lamang ang Philippine Ibaraki Sports Club (PISC) sa Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, na kilala bilang Lungsod ng Agham sa hilaga ng Tokyo. Pinamumunuan ni Antonio Hernandez, isang inhenyerong kilala bilang organizer ng iba’t-ibang paligsahan at pagdiriwang sa naturang prefektura, ang PISC at nagmimithing magtatag ng kapatiran batay sa prinsipyo ng pagkakaisa, pakikipag-unawaan at pakikipagtulungan na ipapatupad sa pamamagitan ng iba’t-ibang uri ng palakasan at mga panlipunan at pangkulturang pagdiriwang.

Pangunahin sa mga proyektong nakatakdang gaganapin sa pamumuno ng PISC ay ang basketball tournament sa Oktubre 29 sa Oho Gymnasium. Apat na koponan na bubuuin sa pamamagitan ng palabunutan ang lalahok sa isang araw na paligang ito. Nakahanay rin sa kalendaryo ng PISC ang iba’t-iba pang palaro, kasama na ang bowling, volleyball, badminton at chess.

Bagamat bago lamang itinatag nang pormal, ang mga bumubuo sa PISC ay matagal nang aktibo sa iba’t-ibang gawaing palakasan at pangkomunidad katulad ng pakikipagpulong ng Labor Attache at opisyales ng konsulado sa mga mamamayang Pilipino sa Ibaraki. Tatlong paligsahan ng basketball na ang inilunsad sa pamumuno ng PISC sa Ibaraki. Kasama sa mga sumusuporta sa paligsahang ito ang Uninetwork Inc., Fiesta Philippine Restaurant, Libis ng Nayon, Mikos Apparel at OFW.
