Raymond new challenge as host of ‘Showbiz Central’

Posted on April 27, 2007

PNS — “At first, I am hesitant to accept the offer to be one of the hosts of Showbiz Central.

“Ibang-iba ang concept ng show, and I’m excited and challenged. This will be a big change in my hosting career,” natatawang wika ni Raymond.

“For sure, I’ll be a regular viewer of ‘Chika Minute’ of my co-host Pia Guanio, magbabasa ako ng blog ni John [Lapus] at manonood din ako regularly ng Startalk every Saturday, para alam ko ang latest news. This time, I will give extra effort, I will do my homework,” pangako pa niya.

“I guess I will cross the bridge when I get there,” sabi niya. “Before, I’ve encountered na yung mga intriga. As much as possible, we clear it, and if it’s not true, we just ignore it.”

“Ate Ruffa is excited and very happy for me,” sabi ni Raymond. “She’s very supportive, at kahit ako, excited din dahil never naming inisip na magku-compete kami sa paghu-host, but it will be a healthy competition. Sabi niya, ‘Just be yourself, don’t be afraid to ask questions, and relax.’ In fact, nang tanungin ko si Richard tungkol sa offer to host Showbiz Central, sabi niya, ‘Go for it!’ I promise them that I will be calm and collected, I’m willing to learn.”

We want the audience to be more involved kaya lumipat kami sa mas malaking venue, sa GMA Broadway Studio,” very excited na sabi ni Raymond.

“I don’t want to focus on my style dahil sino ba ang interesado sa mga isinusuot namin? Mas gusto naming magbigay ng new stories. Ida-download din namin ang global news at least hours before the show.

Si Pia, very relatable, very smart, and very sweet.
