Posted on December 8, 2015

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela, Dec. 8 (PNA) — The Pag-IBIG Area 2 Management Office has urged all employers in its area of operations to utilize the new system of paying premiums and loan payments on electronically.

Pag-IBIG Area 2 Manager Imelda Nimfa de Guzman, has urged employers through their respective fund coordinators to use the electronic payment and collection facility of the agency.

De Guzman said that under Pag-IBIG Circular No. 335 mandates all employers from the government and private sectors to remit their employees’ membership savings and loan amortization through its accredited partner-banks via the Electronic Payment and Collection Facility (EPCF).

She said Pag-IBIG Circular 335 is in accordance with Republic Act No. 8792, also known as the E-Commerce Act of 2000, which mandates all government owned and controlled corporations to provide a method and manner of payment or settlement of fees and other obligations to the government through systems using electronic data messages or electronic documents.

De Guzman cited the advantages of the EPCF such as faster transactions, payment is anytime (24/7), and anywhere, accurate recording and saves time and transportation costs.

She said employers can remit their employees and employer monthly counterpart contributions and can pay their employees’ Multi-Purpose and/or calamity amortization using the e-collect platform.

“The EPCF platform is an electronic payment system that gives employees a facility to remit their contribution/premiums and amortizations through the banks with electronic payment channel.

De Guzman said the Pag-IBIG Fund EPCF can be used now by employers and targeted that the facility will already be utilized by employers until June 2016.

The Pag-IBIG official is optimistic that the facility will be utilized by all Isabela employers next year. (PNA)
