MANILA, Nov. 21 (PNA) — The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) plans to come up with a mobile app for smartphones and tablet computers where the public will know more about the candidates for national positions in the 2016 elections.
PPCRV national chairperson Henrietta de Villa said the new app would include the profiles and platforms of presidential, vice presidential and senatorial candidates based on their respective curriculum vitaes (CVs).
De Villa said the app will be created by information technology firms that offered to help them.
“Nag offer sa amin ng services nila gagawan kami ng profiling pero I am very careful PPCRV should be non partisan,” she added.
The PPCRV head said that they are looking to release the app next month.
She added that this is the first time that they will come up with such app. “First time kasi mga kabataan ngayon puro app.
PPCRV is the accredited citizens’ arm of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in the May 9, 2016 national and local polls.
