LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Nov. 16 (PNA)–The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has scheduled a nine-hour power interruption affecting 14 towns of Pangasinan on Nov. 19.
Lilibeth Gaydowen, North Luzon Corporation Communication & Public Affairs Officer of NGCP, said the scheduled shutdown of some of NGCP’s transmission facilities will affect operations of the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Labrador Substation), Dagupan Electric Corporation (Calasiao and Dagupan Substations), and entire Pangasinan 1 Electric Cooperative franchise areas from 8am to 5pm of November 19, 2015.
Affected are the towns of Labrador, Sual, Alaminos, Mabini, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta, Agno, Bani, Anda, Bolinao, Calasiao, Sta. Barbara, and Dagupan City.
Gaydowen said the NGCP is set to conduct replacement of 10 woodpoles to steel poles and will undertake corrective maintenance along the Labrador-Bani and Labrador-Calasiao 69kV line.
Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
NGCP customers and the general public were advised however to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption, she added. (PNA)
