CAMP BONNY SERRANO, Masbate City, Nov. 15 (PNA) — The Masbate Police Provincial Office (MPPO) has passed the compliance evaluation of the Philippine National Police – Performance Governance System (PNP-PGS) in their evaluation conducted on Nov. 10 -12, the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) said.
The MPPO, headed by Police Senior Supt. Precy Dugas Tanggawohn had a score of 4.0 (good progress).
Senior Supt. Romulo A. Esteban, PRO5 deputy regional director for Administration, who led the audit team that evaluated MPPO, said the audit focused on group discussion, interviews, document reviews and on-site visitation to assess if governance system in PNP provincial offices is highly observed.
He said the team evaluated the accomplishments of the MPPO from the alignment of budget to resources; the cascading of strategy to individual level; the collation of emerging best practices; the formation of the Project Steering Committee (PSC), the implementation of communication plan; and the review of dashboard accomplishment.
Each of the accomplishments had a passing rate, making the MPPO one of the provincial offices in Bicol recommended for revalidation or the final stage of evaluation this coming December 3.
Tanggawohn stressed that audit findings, observations and recommendations by the inspecting team will be corrected and properly complied in the best interest to excellently serve public police service in Masbate.
He added that he is confident that MPPO will maintain its good standing in the performance governance system.
The Performance Audit is the second phase of the four compliance stages composed of Initiation, Compliance, Proficiency and Institutionalization.
The PGS is implemented all throughout the PNP in line with the PATROL PLAN 2030 to give a capable, efficient, and trustworthy police service to all Filipino people.(PNA)
