DHL Express invests almost Php80-M in new south service center

Posted on October 30, 2015

MANILA, Oct 30 (PNA) — DHL Express, the world’s leading services and logistics provider, has invested Php79.2 million in a new South Service Center in Las Piñas City to expand its network and cater to the growing logistics demand in businesses particularly in the South Luzon area.

“The South Service Center will play a critical role by supporting growth of our customers across South Luzon. Our investment in Las Piñas reaffirms our commitment to upgrade our services to meet the changing demands of our customers,” said DHL Express Philippines country manager Nurhayati Abdullah on Friday in a press briefing.

The opening of this service center will benefit those based in South Luzon, particularly serving the needs of customers in the cities of Las Piñas, Pasay, and Parañaque, as well as the province of Cavite.

The proximity of the South Service Center will likewise benefit customers located in Free Trade Zones in South Luzon area, such as those in Gateway Business Park in General Trias, Cavite; Philippine Export Zone Authority (PEZA) in Rosario, Cavite; and First Cavite Industrial Estate (FCIE) in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Furthermore, walk-in customers will be able to access the South Service Center with ease in terms of dropping their packages at the DHL retail outlet located inside the facility since it is conveniently situated along the thoroughfare of Alabang-Zapote Road.

Aside from officials from DHL Express Philippines, Senator Cynthia Villar also graced the inauguration and ceremonial unveiling of the newly opened service center.

The South Service Center will hold new vehicles, state-of-the-art material handling equipment, and IP cameras.

In addition, 30 CCTV cameras will be installed for security purposes and for tracking shipments throughout the entire process within the service center.

According to Abdullah, DHL Express Philippines will expand their retail footprints with areas of growth in Quezon City and Cebu for next year.

DHL is a leading global brand in the logistics industry with services ranging from national and international parcel delivery, international express, road, air and ocean transport to industrial supply chain management. (PNA)
