BALANGA CITY, Bataan, Oct. 30 (PNA) — Bishop Ruperto C. Santos, in his message for All Saints’ Day, is asking prayers for the dead.
“The best and most beneficial things we can do during ‘Undas’ and offer to our beloved departed are our prayers and offering Holy Masses for them,” the bishop of the diocese of Balanga said on Thursday.
He said that going to cemeteries is not to picnic or to get into a reunion.
“We go to cemeteries to remember them and their good deeds and that we are thankful to them for being part of their lives,” the Bataan prelate said.
Cruz urged relatives to promise that they will not fail the expectations of their departed loved ones.
“We must also ask forgiveness from them, in the same way that we must forgive their shortcomings,” he said.
The bishop also urged those going to cemeteries to follow authorities in the maintenance of peace and order. (PNA)
