DepEd-12 names 2015 Most Outstanding Teachers

COTABATO CITY, Oct. 14 (PNA) — The Department of Education named the 2015 Most Outstanding Teachers in North Cotabato, officials said today.

Dr. Omar Obas, North Cotabato Schools Division superintendent, said with the regional recognition, the North Cotabato Schools Division is ready for the implementation of the K to 2 program starting next year.

Outstanding teachers in elementary category were Nancy Aquino of Mlang Central Pilot Elementary School, Irlou Allado of Kabacan Central Pilot Elementary School, Richard Neri of Lika Central Pilot elmeentary School in Mlang, North Cotabato and Emman Dwight Tuyan of Matalam Central Pilot Elementary School.

For secondary category, named outstanding teachers were Leticia Ebita of Malibatuan High School, Exaltacion Velarde of Mlang National High School, Nanette Pedregosa of Tulunan National High School, Elmer Pineda and Aldrin Ragual, both of Mlang National High School and Sheryl Valente of Malibatuan High School.

Obas said the awards simply showed the division performed well in various fields of education. He also lauded the support extended by North Cotabato Governor Emmylou Mendoza and the members of the Provincial Board.

Among the support extended by the provincial government to the North Cotabato Schools Division was the scholarship program for teachers in taking Master’s Degree in English, Math and Science.

Under the program, 70 percent of the teacher-scholar’s tuition fee is paid for by the provincial government.

A huge celebration awaits teachers in the province as the schools division has scheduled a thanksgiving party for the honorees. (PNA)
