ILOILO CITY, Oct. 13 (PNA) — The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) on Tuesday approved an ordinance which seeks the mandatory display of emergency hotlines in all private institutions operating in the city.
The ordinance which was authored by councilor Lady Juliegrace Baronda also mandates that offices of the city government and venues of events to abide by the said policy.
Establishments which will fail to comply will have to pay a penalty of PHP5,000 during the first offense, PHP5,000 and suspension of business permit for 15 days on the second offense and revocation of permits on the third offense.
The ordinance is yet to be signed by Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and must be published in local newspapers in order for it to take effect. (PNA)
