Carla will miss Geoff

Posted on August 30, 2010

PNS — CARLA Abellana was the featured star in “Showbiz Central’s” “Behind the Wall” portion. She wasn’t able to guess correctly that one of the secret informants is her own elder sister, Erica, who is as pretty as Carla and can also be in showbiz. Carla admits she feels sad that she and Geoff Eigenmann will part ways after “Basahang Ginto.” “We’ve foreseen that naman kasi di naman puwedeng we won’t grow at puro kaming dalawa na lang lagi,” she says. “Geoff is now doing ‘Grazilda’ with Glaiza de Castro and I’ll be paired naman with Dennis Trillo in my next show kasi maganda ‘yung nakitang chemistry sa ‘min when we became co-hosts in ‘StarStruck V.’ So ‘yung supporters ng tambalan namin ni Geoff, will miss us in ‘Basahang Ginto’ dahil it will take a long time bago kami magkasama uli sa isang show.”

Will she miss Geoff? “Oo naman. He’s my first leading man and he’s really supportive. Super busy siya ngayon kasi nagti-tape na sila ng ‘Grazilda’ and he also tapes for ‘Basahang Ginto’ kaya lagare siya.”

Are they now on? “No. He knows work ang priority ko. But he’s definitely boyfriend material. Mabait siya talaga. Kaya lang, I’m not ready yet lalo ngayong nagmu-movies na ako. After ‘Mamarazzi’, I’m doing ‘Shake, Rattle and Roll 12’ naman for Regal at ang kapareha ko is Geoff’s cousin, Sid Lucero. I enjoyed doing ‘Mamarazzi’ kasi puro drama ako sa TV and this one is a comedy at maganda ang role ko as Mimi, an aspiring actress.”

But some folks say Andi Eigenmann has a better role than her? “That’s true, kasi anak siya ni Eugene Domingo as Mamarazzi and she plays dual roles pa. But that’s just fine with me. Hindi ko gagawing issue ‘yan.”
