CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Oct. 10 (PNA) – The parents of two minors who were reported missing last week issued a statement Monday appealing for help for the whereabouts of the kids.
In a police report reaching here, Sherlita Yunting Bañas, 41, of Purok 17, Depot Landing, Brgy. Casisang, Malaybalay City, said that her son, Marvin Yunting Bañas, 14, and nephew Earl Justine Yunting Pastolero, 14, of Avinca Village, Malaybalay City, have been missing since last Saturday.
Insp. Silvestre Asiong, Jr., spokesperson of the police provincial command in Bukidnon, said that the minors were last seen together Saturday afternoon near a gasoline station in Malaybalay City.
Asiong said that the parents have reported to the police about the missing kids and appealed to the public to help locate the whereabouts of the two kids in the nearby cities and provinces in Northern Mindanao.
He said that the police have circulated the photos of the boys to all sub-police stations in Bukidnon and in the region.
Parents are wary of the whereabouts of the kids after reports circulated last month about unknown suspects on board a “white van” that allegedly kidnapped children.
The police has also alerted the parents and the public about the alleged vehicle, which reported came from the southern city of Davao. (PNA)
