DAVAO CITY, Oct. 9 (PNA) — A coastal and underwater clean-up drive will be conducted on Saturday in the Talikud Island Mangrove Sanctuary of the Island Garden City of Samal.
The clean-up will be spearheaded by Davao del Norte Tourism chair Araceli Ayuste with the participation of the officers and members of the Mindanao Mountaineering Community (MMC) and Mountaineering Federation of Southern Mindanao (MFSM).
The activity is supported by the four barangays of Talikud, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Navy, Maritime Police and Task Force Samal.
“The coastal and underwater clean-up is also held in celebration of the second anniversary of the Dadatan Bat Conservation Park,” said MFSM president Danilo “Jun” Bacus. (PNA)
