ILOILO CITY, Oct. 8 (PNA) -– Iloilo needs to improve its internet connectivity.
This is one challenge that was discussed during Tuesday’s critiquing of the recently concluded 2015 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in this city, according to Junel Ann Divinagracia, executive director of the Iloilo Organizing Committee (IOC).
She explained that relaying communication and addressing concerns could have been faster if the internet connection was stable.
But she hoped that there will be more stable connections for future hosting.
It was learned that the Iloilo Convention Center (ICC) that stands at the Megaworld Property in this city’s Mandurriao district already has 39 bookings for various functions.
ICC, owned by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority of the Department of Tourism (DOT), was the venue for three important APEC meetings that ended here Tuesday.
Nonetheless, she said that the concern is being addressed by the government with the coming in of fiber optic connections. (PNA)
