TUGUEGARAO CITY, Oct 7 (PNA) — The Tuguegarao City Police Office (TCPO) has assigned additional policemen to patrol round the clock the city’s business district and bus terminal to ensure that people are safe and secure anytime they want to visit this city, especially now that Christmas season is fast approaching.
TCPO police senior inspector Ronald B. Bucayo, city chief executive personnel, said Thursday that the 24-hour patrol system is an effective means to prevent criminals from committing crimes.
The influx of visitors due to the upcoming Christmas celebration has been cited by TCPO as reason for deploying additional policemen, Bucayo added.
Aside from the roving patrol, policemen and police auxiliary personnel are also posted in strategic areas in public market and terminals.
“The police auxiliary unit from the city government is considered a great help for the police in the maintenance of peace and order in the city,” Bucayo said.
The police auxiliary unit is trained by the TCPO in the maintenance of peace and order in the city.
The deployment of additional police roving patrols will ensure a peaceful Tuguegarao even during the peak of the Christmas celebration and New Year’s Day.
Checkpoints manned by the city public safety company and assistance centers were also activated to check motorists coming in and out of the city. (PNA)
