SM opens first large screen cinema in Cabanatuan

MANILA, Oct. 6 (PNA) — SM Cinema will launch the first large format cinema on Friday (October 9) in Cabanatuan City — a giant digital screen almost 30 percent bigger than the regular theatre’s screen size.

Cabanatuan folks will be the first to experience SM Cinema’s very first large format screen at the to-be-launched SM Cabanatuan.

Branded as “SM Large Screen Cinema,” the super-sized screen stretches the limits of one’s peripheral vision to the maximum and gives the audience a larger-than-life experience.

Capable of 3D movies on its high-resolution format, SM Large Screen Cinema uses a silver screen which ensures brighter and clearer images on display, and uses a superb sound system to deliver an immersive and unparalleled sound experience.

A standard SM Large Screen Cinema set up has accommodations for 507 guests and seating patrons in a stadium-like setting much similar to an IMAX theatre.

Also offering high-quality theatres, SM Cinema will be opening five fully digitized theatres in Cabanatuan City that promise to deliver the best possible movie-watching experience.

SM Cinema Cabanatuan will have 294 well-appointed seats per theatre, making certain that all patrons will enjoy the view from any seat they choose.

As a standard in all SM Cinemas, the facility apportions an area dedicated to persons with disabilities (PWD) to accommodate all varieties of guests.

The cinemas also boast of crisp digital surround-sound systems and crystal clear images to deliver the best theatre experience.

Completing the newest movie destination in Cabanatuan City, Snack Time, SM Cinema’s official snack and merchandise arm, will serve popcorn, drinks, and other snacks, along with the latest movie merchandise that fans will surely love to collect.

To further give movie-goers the best theatre experience in town, e-PLUS will offer a limited movie kit that includes 6 movies, 6 caramelized popcorn, and a subscription to SM’s newly launched blink movie app that lets you watch movies on the go — all for only Php500.

SM Cabanatuan will be the 2nd branch to open an SM Cinema theatre, next to the SM Mega Center. Cabanatuan is a progressive and rapidly urbanizing component city, one of the five cities in Nueva Ecija.

SM Cinema believes that by installing primary attractions such as the SM Large Screen Cinemas, SM contributes to entice more investors to locate and help in further developing Nueva Ecija.

SM Cinema Cabanatuan will be the 52nd branch of SM nationwide. (PNA)
