SAN JOSE, ANTIQUE, Oct 5 (PNA) -– Antique Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao told the teachers of the biggest school in the province in a simple activity Monday morning in celebration of the annual Teachers’ Day that “there’s nothing nobler than being a teacher and I congratulate you teachers of Antique National School.”
“Of course I also congratulate all the teachers in the different schools in the province as well as those who have retired from teaching. Without you, we could not be where we belong now,” Gov. Cadiao said.
In an interview after the program, Gov. Cadiao said she could not imagine what Antique will be and all the other provinces in the country without the teachers.
“It is upon the teachers what our society will be in the years to come. It is they who design our future. Our teachers make professionals out of us. They produce engineers, architects, doctors, lawyers, nurses, etc. The kind of society we have now is the product of our teachers years back,” Gov. Cadiao said.
In this morning’s activity, Gov. Cadiao donated and turned-over to the teachers of ANS one unit of multi-cab for the school and a computer set for the school’s Teen Center. She also announced that the request of the school for the replacement of the fence worth Php1 million is already up for implementation.
“These are my little gifts to you that I know you need very much. The fence that you requested was already bid out. Expect the contractor to start the construction any day soon,” Gov. Javier told the ANS teachers.(PNA)
