CFA Philippines and FINEX Join Asian Countries

Posted on July 28, 2010

Premier local finance institutions Chartered Financial Analyst Society of the Philippines (CFA Philippines) and Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) join a highly esteemed regional investment conference together with key global players in the finance industry.

CFA Philippines and FINEX support this year’s 10th Pacific Region Investment Conference (PRIC) organized by the Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies (APAFS). This year’s PRIC is expected to bring together more than 400 fiduciaries and investment professionals and world-class finance experts in one roof for a highly-esteemed discussion on current global economic issues and trends concerning the region.

FINEX President, Greg Navarro, shares, “The partnership with APAFS is sure to enhance and strengthen FINEX’s advocacy for our finance professionals.” CFA Philippines President, April Lyn Tan, also adds, “This is a strategic partnership to enhance our objective to continually encourage professional development in the local investment industry.”

World-renowned experts and global finance professionals will give updates on the financial market, global equities, and government issues and concerns relevant to the recently recovering Asian market.

Economist, finance industry renowned analyst and author of the book “Profiting from the World’s Economic Crisis” who will keynote the 10th PRIC, Bud Conrad, is set to fire up the conference as he shares valuable insights on the region’s apparent financial calm and government debt concerns. Global finance experts are also lined up to speak in the conference.

“We are confident that the rest of the region is on its way to bouncing back and achieving positive growth. With the local partnerships for the PRIC, we aim to share with our Asia Pacific investors global lessons and inputs to discern a constant growth of the region and to stimulate best practices in fiduciary funds management,” says Daniel A. Roland, Executive Director of APAFS.

The 10th PRIC is set to be held on October 14 to 15 at the New World Hotel in Manila. To learn more about the conference and APAFS, visit www.apafs.org.
