PNS — IT took a new award-giving body like the MTRCB to recognize the acting skills of actor and Quezon City Councilor Alfred Vargas when he won the Best Actor award in the recently concluded event. The judges, mostly reviewers of films, found Alfred’s performace in the indie movie, “Colorum,” most outstanding.
“I am really surprised,” Alfred remarks. “I support indie films and I look forward doing another one before the year ends. It is actually a double victory for me.”
The actor also took time out to take a crash course on Public Administration together with other first time winners from the field of entertainment. Incidentally we heard that Ai Ai delas Alas has enroled too and learn about good governance. But the election is over at malayo pa ang susunod.
Alfred says his political career will be his priority now because it is a commitment he made with the constituents of the fourth district of Quezon City.
A slight problem we see now is the extra pounds which Alfred gained while away from the cameras. A project in the offing is “Bonifacio” which Mario O’ Hara will meg. Alfred promises to trim down to fit the character of the controversial hero.
