PNS — PRESIDENT Benigno Simeon Aquino III swore in yesterday his old friend, Bong Naguiat, as new chairman of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor).
Naguiat, a former classmate of Aquino at the Ateneo de Manila University, replaced Efraim Genuino, who recently retired from the helm of the state-run gaming agency.
Naguiat is not new at Pagcor. He has served as its director.
Also sworn in by President Aquino were newly elected Secretary Teofisto Guingona III and Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares in simple rites at Malacañang Palace.
Henares, former BIR deputy commissioner, replaces Commissioner Joel Tan Torres at the revenue-generating agency.
