We have seen many child stars in Philippine cinema from Tessie Agana, Gina Alajar, Snooky Serna, and Star For All Seasons, Vilma Santos who left an indelible mark in our hearts. Ate Vi, for example, was known for her portrayal of “Trudis Liit” gave her best child actress award more than three decades ago.
Now, ‘Trudis Liit,’ from the pen of the late Uncle Mars Ravelo, is revived by GMA 7 which launches the newest child wonder, Jillian Ward, a very pretty and intelligent child star, into stardom. “Trudis Liit” premieres June 21 as part of the GMA 60th anniversary offerings.
Big names like Pauleen Luna, Maxene Magalona, Ian Veneracion, Mike Tan, and former child star herself, Gina Alajar play support. Also sharing stellar roles in the series are Jao Mapa, Maricel Morales, Dexter Doria, and Marc Acueza under the direction of Don Michael Perez.
