PNS — DURING the presscon for ABS-CBN’s newest offering, “Magkaribal” entertainment writers were requested to set aside controversial issues between its lead female star, Gretchen Barretto and Angelica Panganiban, the girlfriend of lead actor Derek Ramsay. “Magkaribal” focuses on the matters that run over the story of rival sisters, played by Gretchen and Bea Alonzo over their personal and professional life.
The stars were dressed to the nines when they entered the red carpet presscon at the 14th floor of ABS-CBN which was turned into a virtual ramp as their names were called to the centerstage. Aside from Gretchen and Bea, the other members of the cast, Enchong Dee, Erich Gonzales, Mark Gil, Bianca Manalo, Nina Ricci and latecomer, Angel Aquino got the admiration of the entertainment press because of their own individual styles.
This project is said to be a dream come true for Gretchen. All the gowns and other dresses she used in the series were her personal collections, most of which were by famous names like Balenciaga, Valentino, and Dior. As they say, if you have it, flaunt it.
