Pangasinan cops advance enhanced shooting proficiency

Posted on August 28, 2015

MALASIQUI, Pangasinan, Aug. 28 (PNA)— At least 63 members of the Malasiqui police station (MPS) underwent enhanced shooting proficiency training on Friday till Saturday to boost their capabilities in neutralizing criminals.

Supt. Armando Muena, chief of police, said the shooting proficiency would be a monthly activity for his men to maintain and improve their accomplishments in securing peace and order in the town.

Recently, the Malasiqui was awarded the “Best Unit with Past and Continuing Notable Accomplishment Beyond Rating Period Municipal Level” in region one during the recent 114th Police Service Anniversary and the municipal government rewarded them with an ammunition reloading machine.

“The ammu reloading machine will be very useful with our shooting proficiency training”, said Muena.

He reiterated the importance of the proficiency training as an additional to the basic trainings given to them prior and within their service.

“We need to upgrade our skills to be more efficient in our job”, said Muena.

Meanwhile, Mayor Armando Domantay Sr. supports the training of local policemen.

“It is mandatory for them to be properly equipped”, said Domantay.

He commended the policemen for maintaining peace and order which resulted in entry of more investors in the town, including a new Savemore grocery and shopping store to be built in a 3, 000 square meters lot here.

Malasiqui is also one of the 20 passers of the Seal of Good Local Governance in the province conferred by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Marisol Inacay, head of DILG Malasiqui said the local government unit passed the six basic elements.

“Malasiqui has no negative finding from the Commission on Audit (COA), its 73 barangays underwent water search and rescue training, the PNP certifies its compliance with the law and even the constituents were satisfied with its services”, said Inacay. (PNA)
