MANILA, Aug 20 (PNA) –The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) on Thursday cancelled two flights to and from Basco, Batanes due to heavy rains brought by typhoon “Ineng.”
MIAA, in an advisory, said that among flights cancelled were 2P 2084 (Manila-Basco), and 2P 2085 (Basco-Manila).
Both flights belong to PAL Express.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), meanwhile, predicted moderate to occasional rains over Cagayan (Sta. Ana, Gonzaga, Baggao, Calayan) while light to moderate rains may affect the province of Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Abra, Isabela, which may persist for one to two hours.
PAGASA also advised the public to expect light to moderate rains over Cagayan and nearby areas for the next hour.
Enhanced “habagat” is also expected to bring occasional rains over the Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon (CALABARZON), Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan (MIMAROPA), Bicol Region and Western Visayas. (PNA)
