The Filipino Wrecking Machine Mark Munoz Prepares for UFC 112

First International Fight of Munoz’s Career

LAKE FOREST, Calif. – (U.S. ASIAN WIRE) – April 3, 2010 — With the grand opening of Reign Training Center (RTC) on March 13th behind him, Filipino UFC middleweight Mark Munoz (7-1-0) prepares for his upcoming fight against veteran MMA fighter Kendall “The Spyder” Grove (13-6-0). UFC 112 takes place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, April 10th, this is the first international fight of Munoz’s career.

Munoz, a former NCAA Division One Champion and two time NCAA Wrestling All-American co-owns and operates his own training center (RTC), MMA champions and contenders seek instruction from Munoz to improve their wrestling/grappling techniques.

Notable MMA fighters who have recently trained at the RTC include “Sugar” Rashad Evans UFC Light Heavyweight (19-1-1), Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal Strikeforce Heavyweight (6-0), Fabricio Werdum Strikeforce Heavyweight (17-4), Rafael Cordeiro Brazilian Chute Boxing Trainer for UFC and Strikeforce Fighters and 1999 International Vale Tudo Lightweight Champion, Renato “Babalu” Sobral Strikeforce Light Heavyweight (35-9).

While “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” instructs their “ground” game, these fighters give him valuable training and combat strategies as well; Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and striking (kicks, knees, and punches), to name a few. With regular high caliber training sessions, Munoz continues to improve his all around performance in the Octagon.

Munoz’s upcoming fight is scheduled to take place in Ferrari World on Yas Island; an open-air concert arena in Abu Dhabi. This fight will be a true test for Munoz.
