3 suspects, firearm, P25,000 worth of drugs seized in Agusan del Sur drug raid

BUTUAN CITY, Aug. 13 (PNA) — A suspect who was on police illegal drugs target list and two others were arrested, and a sizable worth of illegal drugs, short firearm and drug paraphernalia were seized in a drug raid at a southern city here in the region on Thursday morning, according to police reports.

Reports from Agusan del Sur Police Provincial reaching the regional headquarters here said that Bayugan City Police Station headed by PSupt. Reynante N. Sibayton implemented search warrant No. 2015-183 for violation of Republic Act 9165, issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 7, Bayugan City, signed by Presiding Judge Hon. Hector B. Salise, dated August 11, 2015; to a residence owned by a certain Renche Ibarra Calimpusan, alias “En-en.”

The searching team headed by PO3 Arvin D. Nuneza, recovered from the subject’s premises items such as: an improvised plastic container containing four heat-sealed transparent sachets with crystalline content believed to be “shabu,” estimated to weigh 2.2 grams, having an approximate Dangerous Drugs Board Value (DDB) of P25,000.00; five pieces opened transparent sachets containing traces of white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”; four pieces elongated aluminum/tin foil containing traces of white crystalline substance; several pieces of elongated empty transparent plastic sachets, seven pieces disposable lighters; six improvised tooters, a pair of scissors; a unit digital weighing scale; two pieces improvised bamboo clips, aluminum/tin foil, cash money amounting to P2,500.00 in different denominations.

Also confiscated by the raiding team a Caliber .38 revolver, brand “Protector” bearing Serial No. PRI2023139 loaded with six live ammunition in its cylinder.

During the implementation of the search warrant, two other visitors of the subject residence were also arrested identified as Rico I. Calimpusan,36; and Romulo P. Estay, Jr., alias “Ayot” legal age, all residence of the said place.

Renche Calimpusan, the subject of the search warrant was included in the police illegal drugs watch list for the first, second and third quarter of 2015.

The search and seizure was done in orderly manner witnessed by Barangay Councilor Emillano V. De Chavez of the said barangay, Ms. Myrna C. Dario, DOJ representative and a media man.

Arrested suspects and seized items were brought to Bayugan City Police Station for proper documentation and disposition and be presented to the issuing court and later be brought to the PNP Regional Crime Laboratory Office 13 for screening and confirmatory testing. (PNA)
