MANILA, Aug. 13 (PNA) — Major Gen. Glorioso Miranda, commander of the Nueva Ecija-based 7th Infantry Division, was appointed on Thursday to take over the helm of the Northern Luzon Command.
He replaced Lt. Gen. Felicito Virgilio Trinidad who is retiring after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56 years on Friday.
Miranda is a member of Philippine Military Academy Class (PMA) of 1983.
The change-of-command ceremonies took place at Camp Servillano Aquino, Tarlac.
Present were Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and Armed Forces of the Philippines chief-of-staff Gen. Hernando DCA Iriberri, who is Miranda’s classmate at the PMA. (PNA)
