BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Aug. 11 (PNA) — At least 23 indigent Novo Vizcayanos from eight towns here are set to receive livelihood assistance from the provincial government.
A report said the provincial board recently authorized Governor Ruth Padilla to enter and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the recipients for the granting of the livelihood assistance.
The help for the poor program, Padilla said, will be charged against the 20-percent Development Fund 2015 through the Integrated Social Services for the Poor Project of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
The recipients will come from the towns of Bayombong, Aritao, Solano, Diadi, Bagabag, Sta. Fe, Bambang, and Bagabag.
Their chosen livelihood projects are sari-sari store, vegetable gardening and production, vending, buy and sell, dry goods and RTW merchandise, weaving, dressmaking, and hog raising.
The livelihood assistance is a program of the province to alleviate poverty to promote the value of self-reliance and hard work for the poor in order to improve their economic life. (PNA)
