MANILA, Aug. 11 (PNA) — The presentation of the arguments and defense on the part of the DMCI in the case of Torre de Manila ended on Tuesday.
Atty. Victor Lazatin, who led in the presentation of arguments for the camp of DMCI, was grilled for two days by the magistrates of the Supreme Court (SC).
Chief Justice Maria Lourdes P. Aranal Sereno declared the adjournment of the oral arguments at past 5 p.m. and will resume on Aug. 18, 2015 at 2 p.m.
The camp of public respondents composed of the National Museum, National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will present their arguments next week.
Solicitor General Florin T. Hilbay will represent the National Museum and NCCA, while Atty. Jose Manuel Diokno will represent the NHCP.
Likewise, the SC gave the camp of the Knights of Rizal, petitioner in the case, a period of five days from notice, within which to reply on the motion for clarification filed by the camp of the NHCP.
At the same time, Sereno ordered the concerned party in the case to submit the “transcript of video” of former Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim. (PNA)
