CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Aug. 10 (PNA) — The Central Luzon Police Office-3 (PRO-3) has received a total of 11 KIA personnel carriers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) national headquarters to be distributed among the Regional Public Safety Battalion and different Provincial/City Public Safety Companies in Central Luzon.
Chief Supt. Ronald Santos, PRO 3 officer-in-charge, said the personnel carriers is part of the capability enhancement initiative of PRO-3.
Santos said the 11 vehicles form part of 102 patrol vehicles allotted to the regional office wherein 40 Mahindra patrol vehicles were initially distributed last May 20 this year.
The turnover ceremony was held at the PRO 3 Parade Ground on Monday’s regular flag raising ceremony.
The patrol vehicles will definitely help in providing PNP operatives in the delivery of quick police services thus, empowering the law enforcers in the region, Santos said.
He also said that the procurement of the patrol carriers is very timely since several pro-active campaigns of PRO 3 such as anti-hijacking task group, the round the clock conduct of anti-criminality checkpoints and mobile patrolling in line with Oplan Lambat Sibat.
“With this improvement in mobility, I am in no doubt that more positive accomplishments will be achieved in the future and that the public can expect the PNP-PRO3 to respond better to crises and that the delivery of our police services will be more effective and efficient,” Santos added. (PNA)
