Bulacan has “potent’ economic boom– Taiwan envoy

Posted on August 8, 2015

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan, Aug. 8 (PNA)–This booming province is fast emerging as one of the progressing economic wonders in the Asia-Pacific region, according to the ambassador of the Taipei Economic and Culture Office (TECO) to the Philippines.

Ambassador Gary Song-Huann Lin said that the growth and progress now being felt in Bulacan was very “potent” and would have a big effect in the Asian market and other parts of the world.

Huann Lin said that the “potent” economic boom now prevailing in Bulacan was due to the good leadership of Governor Wilhelmino M.Sy-Alvarado and his team.

“Your governor has a magic touch in revving up the engines of growth. Bulacan will soon become an economic tiger in the Asian region and Taiwan will be one of its partner,” Huann Lin told local newsmen during the 4th year of the “Love from Taiwan’ rice donation held Friday at the Pavillion of the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center here.

The Taiwanese envoy said that the people of Taiwan had been doing the outreach program for the past for years as its token of appreciation for the warm friendship and hospitality being shown by the leaders and people of Bulacan.

He said that there were lot of Taiwanese investors and big factories in Bulacan.

“We are very appreciative of the hospitality and friendship that Governor Alvarado and Vice Governor Daniel Fernando are providing to Taiwanese investors,” he added.

He also said that Bulacan had a sisterhood tie with Taiwan.

Huann Lin was joined by other Taiwanese led by Eng-Chi Yao, president of the World League for Freedom and Democracy.

In his message, Chi Yao, said that Bulacan was the cradle of freedom and democracy in Asia and that its people was indeed very ideal when it comes to justice, peace, freedom and human rights.

“We are happy to help people who value justice, freedom and peace,” Chi Yao said.

Thousands of sacks of Taiwanese rice were distributed to different communities in the province.

The Love From Taiwan rice donation is now on its fourth year in helping the people of Bulacan. (PNA)
