Mayor Chipeco commends DILG fire trucks distribution to BFPBy: Robert Maico

Posted on August 7, 2015

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba City Laguna, Aug. 7 (PNA) — Mayor Justin Marc Chipeco commended the efforts of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas in enhancing the capability of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) during the distribution of the 80 (1,000 gallon) fire trucks at the Regional Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in this city.

He commended Roxas as the first Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary who distributed a number of fire trucks that showed sincerity by way of providing the equipment.

Likewise, Chipeco said that the important part of public service is going to the ground level and serve the people with utmost sincerity.

Earlier, Roxas visited the Calamba City Hall upon the invitation by Rep. Joaquin M. Chipeco, Jr. and Mayor Chipeco.

Roxas received warm welcome from city government employees and guests.

Starting at the main entrance of the city hall, up to the second floor and before entering the Mayor’s Office at the third floor, selfies were taken one after another while the crowd chants “Roxas Na! Roxas Na!” as Representative Dan Fernandez shouted “Anong oras na?”

After a short lunch, Roxas immediately proceeded to Camp Vicente Lim in Canlubang Village to facilitate the distribution of the fire trucks. (PNA)
