MANILA, Aug 7 (PNA) — The number of seagoing passengers stranded in various ports in the Visayas has increased from 456 to 528 as of 6 p.m. Friday due to rough sea condition caused by typhoon “Hanna,” the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said in its latest advisory.
On its official Facebook page, PCG said that a breakdown of those stranded include:
Coast Guard Central Visayas
* Cebu – 270 passengers, 16 vessels, 3 motor bancas, 3 rolling cargoes
* Tagbilaran – 8 vessels, 11 motor bancas
* Dumaguete – 6 vessels, 61 motor bancas.
Coast Guard Western Visayas
* Iloilo – 5 vessels
* Bacolod – 8 vessels, 3 motor bancas
* Roxas – 26 passengers, 2 motor bancas, 2 motor bancas taking shelter
* San Jose De Buenavista – 40 passengers, 1 vessel, 1 motor banca
Coast Guard Eastern Visayas
* Tacloban – 1 rolling cargo
* Maasin – 192 passengers, 2 vessels, 2 rolling cargoes
* Ormoc – 1 vessel. (PNA)
