ILOILO CITY, July 31 (PNA) -– The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) visited Iloilo Thursday as part of its intensified information dissemination effort to explain the guidelines they follow in their conduct of review and classification.
During a courtesy call with City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, MTRCB chief Atty. Eugenio Villareal explained that they are now reaching out to content producers and brief them of the rating guidelines rather than go to court should they commit violations.
Aside from the courtesy call with local chief executives of the province and city of Iloilo, the team also visited one of the busiest terminals in the city – Tagbak Terminal – in Tagbak, Jaro to also brief them of the rating guideline, said Jose Rey Delfin, spokesperson of the city mayor.
Villareal was joined by MTRCB board members Jackie Aquino, Atty, Tony Veloso, film critic Mario Hernando, film director Bibeth Orteza and former president of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas Malolet Supnet. (PNA)
