MANILA, July 31 (PNA) — A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the province of Davao Oriental on Friday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, the agency said the quake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred at 9:45 a.m. with its epicenter traced 68 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental.
It added that Intensity 2 was felt in General Santos City.
Phivolcs said quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 40 kilometers
The agency noted that there was no casualty or damage reported from the tremor and no aftershocks were expected from the quake.(PNA)
