PhilJets expands services, aircrafts

Posted on July 29, 2015

MANILA, July 29 (PNA) — Local aerospace industry player Philjets Group has expanded its services after acquiring an Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO) license and adding a new aircraft — a Robinson R44 helicopter.

Philjets said on Thursday that the Civil Aviation Authorities of the Philippines (CAAP) issued AMO license early this month which now allows the firm to provide in-house and complete range of aircraft services.

“This new license represents another step forward for PhilJets in its goal to develop a nose-to-tail approach to aviation services in the Philippines and for all its customers,” said PhilJets Group Managing Director Thierry Tea.

The company also renewed its Aircraft Material Distributor (AMD) Certificate allowing the company to import aircraft spare parts and consumables to support its core business of aircraft management services.

PhilJets services involve consulting, sales and importation, operations, maintenance, spare parts procurement and servicing.

“The acquisition of Aircraft AMO license and the AMD Certificate renewal of PhilJets Group is a pledge to better support its customers and a first step for the company towards building its own MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) workshop,” the company mentioned.

Philjets also has a new Robinson R44 helicopter complementing its two H130 and one AS350B2 helicopters.

“This new aircraft provides an excellent reliability, responsive handling, and flexibility, making it, an ideal light helicopter for private, business, and tourism applications,” said PhilJets Group Business Development Manager Michiko Soriano. (PNA)
