MANILA, July 29 (PNA) — Police Director Benjamin B. Magalong, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Chief on Wednesday commended the CIDG Region 1 detectives for the successful arrest of a Ilocos region Top Most Wanted Person in Quezon City.
Magalong said the combined forces of CIDG Region 1 under the direct supervision of Supt. Angeles Genorga Jr., CIDG National Capital Region (NCR), nabbed Johnny Quitoriano on Tuesday afternoon along Iriga Street, Sta. Teresita, Quezon City.
The fugitive was listed top most wanted person in Region 1 with a monetary reward of Php 100,000 and also included in the target list of the Provincial Anti-Partisan Armed Group Task Force (PAPAGTF) in Ilocos Norte with Php 20,000 reward.
Quitoriano was nabbed for Kidnapping with Serious Illegal Detention, aided with a warrant of arrest issued on January 16, 2015 by Judge Angelo Albano of RTC Branch, Batac, Ilocos Norte.
The accused was on hiding for nine years until his capture on Tuesday, Magalong added.
Quitoriano is now under the custody of CIDG Ilocos Norte for proper documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court. (PNA)
