CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, July 28 (PNA) — With the help of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III’s expanded program on Pantawid Pamilya Pangkabuhayan Program (4Ps), rearing children back to school as they weave their dreams in the future has been an easier one than expected for indigents.
Elsa Ventura, a newly surveyed family head who expected to be a would-be recipient of the expanded program, said after watching the President’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.
“He has probably noted the plight of poor villagers in the countryside in pushing for the continuous implementation of 4Ps,” she said, adding she has been taking care alone of her two grandchildren who were abandoned and left without financial subsidy from their parents.
For Juana Tagao, the assistance make “both ends meet” for them as they send their children to school aside from the help for their families.
In his SONA, President Aquino has embarked on the 4Ps project’s help to 4.4-million Filipinos, translating to 786,523 beneficiaries with 333, 673 students who were also helped.(PNA)
