MANILA, July 28 (PNA) — Talk about the bitter being bit.
A still unidentified New People’s Army (NPA) bomber was killed after the improvised explosive device (IED) he was supposed to plant exploded prematurely in Purok 1, Barangay Panibasan, Maco town, Compostela Valley before dawn Tuesday.
The incident took place at 3: 30 a.m., said Eastern Mindanao Command public affairs office chief Capt. Alberto Caber.
The mangled remain of the still unidentified rebel bomber is still at the site.
Investigations revealed that the NPA bomber was about to plant the IED when the bomb went off, killing him instantly. (PNA)
