MANILA, July 26 (PNA) — The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has released a map of the extended route which now allows city buses to transport airport passengers to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminals 3 and 4.
On its official Facebook account, MIAA illustrated how buses coming from Roxas Boulevard can now take NAIA Road, proceed to Domestic Road and then Andrews Avenue before arriving Circulo del Mundo.
From Circulo del Mundo point, buses will take the same route going back to Roxas Boulevard as they proceed north. With the new extended bus route to Terminal 3, bus stops are along Domestic Road and Circulo del Mundo.
To recall, this scheme on the heels of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) granting special permits to buses to extend their routes.
This was conceived because transportation is very limited at Terminal 3 and 4 given its distance from the main road.
Initially, the bus route only traverses NAIA Road going to Terminals 1 and 2.
With this new scheme, MIAA general manager Jose Angel Honrado said that he expects more manageable queues waiting for taxis at the airport. (PNA)
