PNP-Masbate personnel undergo graded physical fitness test

CAMP BONNY SERRANO, Masbate City, July 24 (PNA) — Administrative sanction awaits personnel who failed to submit themselves for graded physical fitness test (PFT) and those who failed to get the minimum score average in the exercises, Police Supt. Eliseo T. Tanding, Masbate Police Provincial Office (MPPO) deputy provincial director for administration, said Saturday. .

As part of the Philippine National Police (PNP) physical fitness program, some 210 police personnel from the MPPO, Provincial Public Safety Company and 21 police stations underwent the third quarter graded PFT test activity held over the week at this camp.

“Good physical condition is of paramount importance, especially with the nature of our job,” Tanding said.

According to Sr. Insp. Ignacio Dizon Suarilla III, head of the Human Resource Doctrine and Development Section of MPPO, police personnel with age bracket 39 years old below and as birthday celebrants for the month of June, July and August are required to take the physical fitness tests composed of pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, 100-meter sprint as well as jog/walk as ordered by the higher headquarters.

The 3rd quarter PFT was administered by a team from the Police Regional Office-5 spearheaded by Senior Supt. Romulo A. Esteban, deputy regional director for operations, and Sr. Insp. Rolly Marqueses, supervisor.(PNA)
