BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 16 (PNA) — The provincial government here recently turned over newly-completed school buildings to municipal and barangay officials of Sta. Fe town.
The school buildings were constructed in the upland barangay Bacneng, one of which has two classrooms while the other has one.
The two-classroom school building worth P1.5 million was funded by the provincial government through the Special Education Fund(SEF) while the one-classroom school building worth P1.2 million was funded by the national government through the Department of Education (DepEd) and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The DepEd-DPWH – funded school building was constructed with the upgraded specifications for typhoon “Yolanda” –type school buildings.
The two-classroom building funded by the provincial government on the other hand had an original budget of P1.9 million but only drew P1.5 million during the actual construction, thereby earning savings of P.4M for the provincial government. (PNA)
