CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, July 13 (PNA) – Government agents raided a suspected drug den and collared one of the suspects in the list of the city’s top 10 wanted drug traders here.
Director Wilkins M. Villanueva, of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Northern Mindanao, said that Hassan A. Edres, 21, of Mabolo, Carmen, Cagayan De Oro City, did not resist arrest when PDEA agents swooped down on his residence Saturday afternoon.
Seized from Edres were 2 pieces heat sealed in transparent sachets believed containing about 10 grams of Shabu, an illegal drug substance, with an estimated market value of Php 70,000, Villanueva said.
He said that another suspect, identified as Diara Acob Edres, eluded arrest when the PDEA agents served the search warrant issued by Executive Judge Z. Alcantar, of the Regional Trial Court here.
The government operatives temporarily detained the suspect at the PDEA-10 Detention Cell for booking and documentation, Villanueva said. (PNA)
