MANILA, July 12 (PNA) — Bad weather prompted the cancellation of eight flights, both domestic and international on Sunday, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said in an advisory.
According to MIAA among flights cancelled include international flights PR 418 (Manila – Busan), and PR 419 (Busan – Manila) due to bad weather in Busan.
Both flights belong to Philippine Airlines (PAL).
Also cancelled were domestic PAL Express flights 2P 2084 (Manila – Basco), 2P 2085 (Basco – Manila), 2P 5084 (Manila – Basco), and 2P 5085 (Basco – Manila).
Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific also cancelled flights 5J 513 (Manila – San Jose), and 5J 514 (San Jose – Manila).
State-run weather bureau PAGASA earlier predicted that monsoon rains may possibly trigger flashfloods and landslides will be experienced over Zambales.
PAGASA also said that occasional rains are expected over the provinces of Mindoro, Bataan, Pangasinan and Benguet, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. (PNA)
