MANILA, July 11 (PNA) — Two flights to and from Basco, Batanes were cancelled on Saturday due to bad weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said in an advisory.
MIAA said the flights cancelled were 2P 2084 (Manila – Basco), and 2P 2085 (Basco – Manila), both belong to PAL Express.
State-run weather bureau PAGASA earlier predicted that Southwest monsoon or “habagat” might bring moderate to occasional heavy rains over, Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Central Luzon.
PAGASA also said that occasional rains were expected over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Western and Central Visayas.
It also advised residents in these areas to be on alert against possible flashfloods and landslides. (PNA)
