BUTUAN CITY, July 10 (PNA) — The 300 new police recruits from Caraga region are now ready to take their oath and to start their training for regular membership to the Philippine National Police.
PSupt. Martin M. Gamba in an interview this morning said that the recruitment process for the first 300 recruits has been completed and they are now ready to take their oath anytime.
However, the new regional director of the regional police here is still an officer-in-charge who is not authorized to issue appointment orders. According to the PNP regional spokesman here, they are waiting for some development from the national headquarters for PCSupt. Vert T. Chavez, whose appointment may possibly be upgraded from being OIC to become acting regional regional director anytime until the end of this month. Then he can be authorized to issue the appointment orders for the new police recruits.
Another development in favor of the new recruits, according to Gamba is that their appointment orders may come from Camp Crame which may possibly be issued by August 1 or 31.
Gamba also said they are continually accepting applicants for the October cycle of PNP recruits and for the other cycle on January 2016. (PNA)
