MANILA, July 10 (PNA) – The Ipo Dam in Norzagaray, Bulacan is still discharging water at 58.10 cubic meters per second (cms), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
”One of the gates of the Ipo Dam is still discharging water at 58.10 cms,” PAGASA Hydrometrology Division Head Richard Orendain told PNA in a phone interview Friday.
However, he said the water level has remained at 101.11 meters since 11 a.m. Friday.
The Ipo Dam had a water level of 100.94 meters on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Orendain said that Bustos Dam, also in Bulacan, has also been discharging water since 10 a.m. at 74 cms — 24 meters from one gate and 50 meters from overflow.
According to PAGASA, the Bustos Dam had reached a water level of 17.55 meters as of 7 a.m., which it expects to increase further.
The water level of La Mesa Dam in Novaliches, Quezon City also decreased slightly from 79.98 meters to 79.97 meters. It had a water level of 79.68 meters as of 6 a.m. Thursday.
Orendain said the other dams are still far from their critical water levels. (PNA)
